What is CGPA and how is it calculated?
CGPA — Cumulative Grade Point Average — is the weighted mean of all the grade points you've earned across every semester at your university. In Pakistan, almost every HEC-recognised institution (UAF, COMSATS, UMT, UCP, UOL, UOG, FAST, Bahria, IIUI, Punjab University, IUB, UOS, Superior, UE, PUCIT) uses a 4.00 scale, where A = 4.00 and F = 0.00.
The formula is simple: multiply each course's grade point by its credit hours, sum the totals, then divide by the sum of all credit hours. That weighted average is your CGPA. Our calculator does this automatically — you only enter the grades and credit hours.
